Re-discovery

'Control by letting go of control, fix your problems by forgetting they're problems. Deal with them and the world and yourself with patience and simplicity and compassion. Let things be. Let yourself be. Let everything be and accept it as it is. Nothing more, nothing less, nothing more...
We have wasted too much - she and I and others like us. We have to hold on to what we have left. Fight for it. Cherish it. Try to survive it. Try to love it.'
James Frey, A Million Little Pieces.

I re-discovered this book as I dipped into my book of quotes and words.. I read it last summer and have since, kept some of these words in my mind and firmly recommended the read to anyone who holds a similar outlook on life.

Currently I am listening to 'Hey Jude', deciding what film to watch, and reflecting on the first two days of being back in lectures; Integration of counselling skills and Clinical Psychology. Opposite ends of the spectrum - both as interesting. I am thinking about these things while mentally preparing myself for shooting tomorrow on the coast of Suffolk.. It's going to be a cold one. Really, it's going to be cold...
